About us
SpineBase was created to solve a frustrating yet widespread problem in spine care and research: despite the critical role of spine imaging measurements across clinical decision-making, academic studies, and surgical planning, there has never been a centralized, easy-to-use resource to guide learners and providers.
Our clinical and research teams are constantly reviewing important spine measurements obtained from X-rays, MRIs, and CTs. Yet, time and again, we see students, residents, and clinicians wasting time digging through scattered publications, inconsistent diagrams, and outdated videos to understand how to measure a simple angle or landmark.
We’re changing that!
SpineBase is your go-to online platform for all spine-related imaging measurements.
Whether you're a trainee learning how to measure lumbar lordosis, or a seasoned provider needing a quick reference for T4 Pelvic Angle, we offer step-by-step instructions, annotated images, and walkthroughs -> all in one place.
Our mission is to make imaging measurements simple, standardized, and accessible for everyone in the spine community!
Thank you to some incredible individuals for their tireless efforts on to help create this page.
